The contracts lawyer role: We are looking to recruit two dynamic Contracts Lawyers with a ‘can do’ approach and an interest in learning new skills to join our fantastic Contracts Team.
As the Contracts Lawyer you will: have a varied caseload consisting of strategically significant procurements as well as contracts and governance matters. You will join at an exciting time as the council responds to the challenges and opportunities presented by the Procurement Act 2023.
Our ideal Contracts Lawyer will have the below skills and experience:
The role will involve working collaboratively with staff and colleagues. You will also need strong communication and negotiation skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to forge productive working relationships across the Council and with local partners. We are looking for experienced Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives with proven expertise in contracts law.
You must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
