Locum Housing Disrepair Solicitor – East Midlands Local Authority
We are supporting a Local Authority in the East Midlands seeking an experienced Locum Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join their legal team on a 3-month rolling contract.
Key Details:
Contract Length: 3 months (rolling)
Location: East Midlands (remote working available)
Rate: Above market rates
Interviews: Taking place over the next 2 weeks
Start: ASAP
Role Responsibilities:
Managing and progressing a full caseload of housing disrepair claims.
Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other key litigation documents.
Providing legal advice and representation on housing disrepair matters, including claims management and settlement.
Liaising with internal departments, tenants, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with substantial housing litigation/disrepair experience.
Previous local authority or public sector experience is highly desirable.
Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
