Locum Principal Lawyer - Adult Social Care
Rate: £70-£75 per hour (DOE)
Contract: Locum - Full-time, 3-6 months+, Remote

Are you an experienced legal professional with a strong background in adult social care law? We're currently seeking a Locum Principal Solicitor to lead a small, dedicated legal team within a well-regarded Local Authority.

As Principal Solicitor, you'll take the lead on complex adult social care legal matters, providing high-level legal advice and oversight. You'll also manage and support a small team of legal professionals, helping to ensure excellent service delivery and legal compliance across all adult social care matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of adult social care, including Court of Protection, DOLS, and safeguarding.
  • Lead, supervise, and support a small team of solicitors and legal officers.
  • Manage complex and high-profile cases.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with substantial experience in adult social care law.
  • Previous local government experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising legal professionals.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
