Locum Childcare Solicitor – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £55 per hour Umbrella – 3 Months + – Home Counties
 
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the Home Counties Region who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join their department.
 
This is a full-time position however candidates with part-time availability may also be considered. The role is offered for a period of 3 months with likelihood of an extension and will be worked on an all predominantly remote basis with a requirement of Court attendance.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister to become part of a forward thinking, proactive Local Authority.
 
Duties may include:

• Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all pre-proceedings
• Advising at LPM and PLO meetings
• Performing own advocacy including contested and final hearings
• •Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare law
• Providing Childcare Public Law advice and undertake all aspects of Care Proceedings work
• Attending and advising at meetings across the County attended by professionals, particularly Legal Planning Meetings and PLO meetings
• Attend other similar meetings as directed by the Principal Lawyer and/or Assistant Chief Legal Officer
• Conducting advocacy before the Family Courts and instruct counsel and the Council's in-house advocates where appropriate as well as preparation of cases

 
An attractive rate is on offer of up to £55 per hour umbrella dependent on individual Experience.
