Sellick Partnership is working with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester to source an interim Head of Commercial Regulatory Housing and Litigation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing legal team. As Head of Commercial Regulatory Housing and Litigation Legal Team you will be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services.
Key duties:
This exciting position will be managing a team of 9, including Senior Solicitors, Solicitors, Legal Officers, and Apprentices. The team covers a wide range of areas, including contracts, civil and criminal litigation, prosecutions, employment, and housing.
The successful candidate will be able to handle a caseload in at least one, preferably two of the above areas of the higher and more complex spectrum and will be responsible for supporting the team with all the above areas.
Ideal requirements:
The ideal candidate is someone who can demonstrate strong leadership skills and be confident and robust in managing difficult situations. You will be a team player, have a flexible approach to work and possess strong client care skills and be able to market the council's services effectively and efficiently.
You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/ Chartered Legal Executive with a current Practising Certificate and experience in a local government setting.
