Locum Child Safeguarding Solicitor 
 

• Location: South Wales
• Contract: 6-month initial contract with a view to extend. Maternity leave cover, so likely to go on for at least 9-12 months
• Hours: Ideally full-time (37), but open to a minimum of 4 days per week/condensed hours
• Start date: 18th August ideally, but some flexibility

The successful candidate will assist the Principal Solicitor in the efficient and effective provision of legal services and support to the Council.

You will be responsible for managing a varied case load of court matters, cases and pre-proceedings to include the provision advice on child welfare in line with current legislation.

Local Authority experience is desirable, but not essential. 

About You

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with solid childcare/family law experience

• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

• Experience of advocacy
