Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – East Anglia – 3 months + – Fully Remote Working – Rate negotiable

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority in East Anglia.

The successful candidate will join the team on an initial 3-month locum contract, providing support across a broad range of housing matters. The role offers fully remote working, with flexibility for both full-time and part-time arrangements, making it an excellent option for experienced legal professionals seeking their next assignment.

Rate: Umbrella rate negotiable
Area of Law: Housing Litigation

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Cilex with litigation rights
• Can demonstrate prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities

Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:

• Managing a varied caseload of housing claims including disrepair, possessions, and homelessness
• Drafting pre-litigation letters of claim, pleadings, agreements, and other legal documentation
• Providing legal advice and guidance to officers, senior stakeholders, and client departments
• Negotiating settlements and progressing matters efficiently
• Preparing instructions for Counsel and liaising on complex housing litigation matters
• Advising on legal and procedural developments in housing law
