Are you a motivated and enthusiastic property lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with a mix of residential conveyancing and commercial property experience to join our supportive team. We deal with an interesting variety of work from our local authority shareholder clients and other not-for-profit organisations.

Our ideal candidate is commercially minded, enjoys building long lasting relationships with clients and thrives on problem solving. We work in a collaborative environment where everyone’s contributions are valued and where you can make a real difference to the local community.

About the Role
You will:
  • Be the lead lawyer on a varied and interesting caseload of residential and commercial property matters (including Right to Buys and Shared Ownership Leases).
  • Provide support to principal lawyers on more complex commercial property transactions.
  • Manage a small team and supervise the work of paralegals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.
This role is ideal for a lawyer seeking to advance their career and would be an excellent step towards more senior management.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has proven experience of handling their own caseload of residential conveyancing matters (ideally to include Right to Buy and Shared Ownership Leases).
  • Is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and passing on knowledge to others.
  • Is pro-active, understands the importance of excellent client care and who thrives on a challenging and varied caseload.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a positive, client-focused culture.

A significant proportion of the work we carry out will be for local authorities; however, we have over recent years grown our client base to include more than one hundred organisations across the public and not-for profit sectors. Our clients include Integrated Care Boards, Foundation Trusts, Charities and Fire Services.

Why Join Us?
  • A supportive team environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
  • Exposure to varied and interesting work that makes a real difference to the community.
  • Opportunities for career progression and development.

  • Family friendly policies including excellent Maternity, Paternity and Adoption entitlements.
  • An exceptional Employee Assistance Program.
  • Cycle To Work scheme.
  • A generous minimum annual leave entitlement of 25 days (rising on 5- and 10-years’ service) plus public holidays, with the option to purchase additional annual leave.
