Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer – Local Government – North – Full Time – Remote Working - £65ph UmbrellaVenn Group is pleased to be assisting an established Local Authority in the North which is urgently seeking to appoint an experienced Civil Litigation Lawyer to join its team on an interim basis, starting as soon as possible for an initial 6 months, with strong likelihood of extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly team. Working alongside others, you will be handling a varied caseload which may include:
- Judicial Review matters relating to a broad range of challenges including SEND challenges, ASC
- Property Litigation – including dilapidations, injunctions, forfeiture and nuisance claims
- Property and Housing Disputes in the 1st and 2nd Tier Tribunals - including disputed Housing Improvement Notices and Civil Penalties notices
- Advising on the impact of tenant insolvency
- Commercial Litigation
- Contractual Disputes
- Employment Disputes
- Debt and Fee Recovery
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate substantial recent experience in civil litigation and judicial review. Previous Local Government experience is essential.
For this role, candidates must be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with rights to conduct litigation and advocacy. Both full and part-time applicants will be considered (minimum of 25 hours a week necessary).
Fully remote working is available for the duration of the role, although travel on the first day is necessary.
