Locum Childcare Lawyer 3–6 Months+ | Remote Working | Cout Attendance once a week | Midlands A unitary Authority in the Midlands is seeking a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join their team. The role is predominantly remote, offers flexible working, a competitive hourly rate, and strong potential for contract extension. The Position: - Contract Length: 3 months + with strong potential for extension
- Working Pattern: Full-time or 30 hours over 4 days
- Location: Midlands
- Working Arrangement: Remote working other than advocacy required weekly
- Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella), dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities You will manage a varied Childcare caseload on behalf of the Local Authority, including:
- Advising senior officers and councillors on all Childcare Law matters
- Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases Performing own advocacy
- Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare Law
- Advising and representing the Council
- Advising and assisting the Council in respect of reputation issues arising out of cases, Ofsted inspection, SCR
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or fully qualified Legal Executive with litigation rights
- Demonstrable experience in Childcare, ideally within a Local Authority setting
