£41,771 - £50,269 per annum (depending on experience)

We have an exciting role on offer within our Legal Services as a Lawyer (Children’s Welfare).

The Council’s Legal Services team is committed to providing a quality service to the Council, for the benefit of the people of Middlesbrough, and we are now looking to expand our welfare team by appointing an experienced Children's welfare lawyer.

To be successful in this role you need experience of working in local government, but the successful applicant will have experience of children welfare matters, will be an effective team player, and have excellent advocacy, interpersonal and communication skills.

You will need to be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive/Trainee Solicitor with 6 months or less left of the training contract.

If you are a trainee solicitor with experience in children welfare matter who is due to qualify within 6 months you can also apply.
