Interim Property Counsel – Up to £800 per day (Umbrella) – Hybrid – 9 Month Contract – Birmingham
Venn Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Property Counsel to support a major infrastructure programme on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled property lawyer to join a friendly in-house legal team and make an impact on complex property matters.

Key Details:

• Rate: Up to £800 per day (Umbrella)
• Contract Length: Until November 2026
• Working Arrangement: 3 days per week on site, remainder remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on complex property matters including acquisitions, disposals, easements, access rights and leasehold interests
• Providing specialist advice on compulsory purchase matters, including CPO processes, statutory powers and blight
• Advising on contentious property issues and disputes arising from land and property matters
• Advising on discretionary property schemes, including application of the Equality Act
• Supporting matters involving utilities, planning interfaces and access arrangements
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke property and land agreements
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and managing external legal advisers

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with proven experience in property law
• Experience in compulsory purchase and contentious property matters
• Strong knowledge of property schemes, planning, utilities and land agreements
• Experience working in-house or on major infrastructure projects is highly desirable
