Job Description:

Venn Group have been instructed on a Locum Adult Social Care Legal Assistant position on behalf of a local authority in the North West.
 
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3-month rolling contract
Working Pattern: Full-time, will consider part-time options
Working Arrangement: Can be fully remote although preference for hybrid working
Rate: £30-35 per hour, umbrella
 
Duties may include:
  • Provide legal, clerical and administrative support to the Social Care team of Solicitors and Fee Earners
  • Undertake a variety of Adult protection related activities under the designation of the Solicitors
  • Case management, concerning court of protection and deprivation of liberty matters
  • Day to day liaisons with Social Care teams, courts, external partners, private practitioners and other bodies
  • Legal research using primary and secondary sources and presented findings and conclusions
  • Collating evidence, preparing court applications and continuing the document management of court cases
  • Administrative tasks such as preparing bundles, updating and delivering them to court and parties
 
Prior Adult Social Care legal experience in a local government setting is extremely beneficial.
