Job Description:

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority based in the South East who are seeking to hire an Education/SEN lawyer on a rolling contract for 4 months to start ASAP.

 

The position would require someone to attend court hearings, on average fortnightly, although the rest of the post can be conducted remotely,

 

Candidates would be expected to prosecute school non-attendance, SEN fraud, and other basic criminal prosecutions in addition to their education/SEN caseload,

 

The ideal candidate will:

- Have at least 3 years PQE,

- Have previous experience with SEN appeals, exclusions, tribunals,

- Be able to hold a diverse caseload also inclusive of s4441s and JRs,

- Ideally have prior experience prosecuting blue badge and fly tipping offences,

- Be comfortable working autonomously in a small team,

- Prior local authority experience, while not essential, would be preferable.
