Locum Prosecutions Solicitor – East Midlands – 3-Month Rolling Contract

An East Midlands Local Authority is seeking to appoint an experienced Locum Prosecutions Solicitor on a 3-month rolling basis.

Key Details:

• Start date: Within the next 4 weeks

• Duration: 3-month rolling contract

• Location: East Midlands, hybrid working available

• Rates: Competitive hourly rates

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied caseload of criminal and civil prosecutions on behalf of the Council

• Preparing cases for court, drafting legal documents, and providing clear written and verbal advice

• Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court and liaising with Counsel for higher court matters

• Advising internal departments on regulatory and enforcement matters

• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong local government prosecutions experience to secure a flexible assignment with high rates.
