Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer – Local Authority – £60 per hour umbrella – Remote with Monthly Office Attendance – Initial 3–6 months

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a well-established Local Authority to recruit a Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Solicitor to manage a varied workload of routine and complex commercial property matters.

The Role:
Position: Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer
Rate: £60 per hour umbrella
Duration: Initial 3–6 months with the likelihood of extension
Location: Remote working, with monthly office attendance preferred
Hours: Ideally full-time, part-time considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a mixed workload of routine and complex commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant issues, leasehold property management, and property transactions arising from development work (easements, title defects, notices to terminate occupation)

• Provide high-quality legal advice to support the Council’s objectives

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with strong commercial property experience

• Previous Local Government or wider public sector experience desirable

• Proven ability to manage complex property matters and deliver practical solutions
