Job Description:
£52,413 per annum
We are looking for a Senior Solicitor to join the Housing and Neighbourhood Nuisance Team (Legal). One of the important functions of the team is provide legal support to Manchester and Salford Councils in respect of all aspects of Social Housing Law including:
Housing Management Remedies for anti social behaviour including injunctions, possession and closure orders Legal challenges to homelessness decisions including Judicial Review and Appeals Advice and Representation in the County Court and Magistrates Court
Flexibility will be required to be on paid standby out of hours duty - Monday to Friday for phone calls and Saturday to cover arrests, on a rota basis (usually every six weeks).

You will be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Social Housing law. You will be self motivated to expand your knowledge to meet client needs and to work as part of a team. We are seeking someone who is focused and has an ability to identify the important legal and evidential issues and has essential ability to communicate complex legal issues to client officers.
