Planning Lawyer
Islington (Local Authority role)
Initial 3-6 month contract
Rate: Negotiable, indicate rate sought (Umbrella)
35 hours per week
Full time planning lawyer. Office attendance 1 x per week
Essential:
- A thorough knowledge of planning (contentious and non-contentious), highways, road traffic and local government law
- A Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, with at least 3 years’ post qualification experience, qualified to practice in England and Wales
Role details:
- Drafting and negotiating section 106 unilateral undertakings and agreements, highways agreements and related matters
- Advising on planning, highways and road traffic matters including drafting or reviewing legal implications in decision reports
- Dealing with contentious planning matters such as judicial reviews and planning appeals
- Attendance at planning committee meetings
