Job Description:

£53,527 - £60,291 per annum

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and confident lawyer who can demonstrate they have the ability to deliver at pace, whilst also ensuring the Council’s strategic aims and objectives are met. 

As a qualified lawyer you will have in-depth knowledge and experience to undertake a range of work within the Litigation and Regulatory team in respect of Planning Law, policy and enforcement. You will be able to provide complex legal and procedural advice to board members, elected members, agents and other internal and external stakeholders to support the Council in achieving its ambitions. 

A commercial and pragmatic focus, as well as an awareness of the political and corporate implications of decisions are therefore key to success. Exceptional communication, negotiation, collaboration and problem-solving skills are also required for this role.
