Are you a qualified lawyer looking for a varied caseload with a desire to achieve successful outcomes for multiple different clients? This is a great opportunity to join Lincolnshire County Council’s friendly and supportive Litigation Team who are passionate about delivering high quality legal advice to their clients.
The role
We are looking for a confident and motivated lawyer to join our established team of lawyers and legal officers in the Litigation Team. As a key member of the team you will:
- Provide high quality legal advice and support on a broad range of legal matters with a specific emphasis on housing related matters, but also in respect of a vast range of other legal areas, including debt recovery, personal injury and judicial review.
- Represent the interests of clients at various courts, including the County Court and the Coroners Court.
- Work closely with a range of different clients across Lincolnshire.

About you
You will be a qualified:
- Solicitor,
- Barrister, or
- Chartered Legal Executive
and authorised to conduct litigation under the Legal Services Act 2007.
You will also bring:
- An understanding and working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and the workings of the Court System.
- Experience of conducting Claimant/Defendant litigation in various court settings.
- Confidence in undertaking advocacy or a willingness to develop this further in the role.
- Experience of handling a busy and varied caseload.
- Good communication and IT skills.
- A collaborative, team focused approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a good sense of humour.
