Locum Debt Recovery Paralegal – Midlands – 3 months + – Remote Working – Up to £35 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Venn group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Debt Recovery Paralegal to join a reputable Midlands based local authority. The role will primarily be focused on Adult Social Care Debt Recovery matters.
 
This is a Locum position, with an initial term of 3 months. The role will be full-time, with fully remote working after initial in-person IT collection. The authority are offering up to £35ph (umbrella) dependent on experience.
 
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Experience working as a Debt Recovery Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in a Local Authority setting, with a background in handling Adult Social Care Debt Recovery matters.
 
Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:

• Working to support a team of two Lawyers with their adult social care debt recovery matters
• Dealing with the debt recovery processes from inception through to collection
• Initiating debt enforcement actions
• General debt recovery collection matters such as care home fees contractual disputes
• Assisting the Team with time sensitive court matters (e.g. bundling)
• Being a point of contact for the client departments
• Carrying out administrative support when required
• Liaising with the court and other professionals
