Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – Midlands – 3 months + – Remote Working – Up to £65 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Venn group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a reputable local authority in the Midlands.
This is a Locum position, with an initial term of 3 months. The role will be full-time, fully remote working after initial IT collection.
 
Area of law: Adult Social Care (ASC)
Rate: £60-65 per hour (Umbrella), dependant on experience
 
Ideal Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong experience of handling ASC matters in Local Authority.
 
Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:

• Providing legal counsel regarding needs assessments, eligibility, care planning, and the council's duties to meet eligible needs.
• Complex cases involving vulnerable adults who lack capacity, making applications to the Court of Protection regarding residence, care, and medical treatment.
• Advising on the legal framework for protecting adults at risk of abuse or neglect, including managing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) matters.
