Locum Childcare Lawyer – Midlands – 3 months + – Predominantly Remote – Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Venn group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join a reputable local authority in the Midlands.
This is a Locum position, with an initial term of 3 months. The role will be full-time, predominantly remote working, with occasional court attendance where possible, but the authority will also be considering candidates who can conduct fully remote advocacy.
Area of law: Childcare
Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Ideal Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong experience of handling Public Childcare matters in Local Authority.
Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:

• Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all pre-proceedings, care proceedings and PLO matters
• Represent the Council at the Family Court when required
• Provide specialist Childcare services and policy advice with an emphasis on the conduct of Public Law Litigation for the protection of children
• Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare Law matters
