Head of Legal NHS

6-9 months

Upto £80,000 DOE

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be supporting an NHS Trust with the fixed-term recruitment of a Head of Legal services into their Legal Team.

The successful candidate for the Head of Legalpost will be responsible for leading on matters including but not limited to:

• Lead and support a small team of legal professionals, including qualified solicitors
• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of legal services and ensure high-quality advice across the organisation
• Leading on complex clinical negligence claims
• Handling a complex caseload of inquests
• Liaising with panel firms
• Advising on Mental Health Act and Court of Protection issues
• Providing complex Health Law Advice
• Managed complex/high-value claims

The Head of Legal post can be worked on an entirely remote basis and will be for a minimum fixed period of 6 months. The successful candidate will ideally have worked in the NHS or a similar organisation before and be able to hit the ground running.
