CHILDCARE LAWYER | NE | LOCAL AUTHORITY | LOCUM
I’m currently working with a Local Authority in the North East who are looking to bring in an experienced Childcare Lawyer on a locum basis.
They have been struggling to recruit permanently, having tried 3 times over the last 6 months, and are now looking for an experienced lawyer who can come in and hit the ground running.
There are 2 options available:
Duty Lawyer
• No caseload
• Advocacy and hearings
• Cover work
• Around 3 days in court per week
Caseholding Lawyer
• Caseload of around 10-12 cases, up to 15
• Around 2 days in court per week
• Full case management
Role details:
• North East
• 37 hours per week
• ASAP start preferred
• Ongoing work with strong extension potential
• Part-time can be considered for the right candidate
• Qualified advocacy rights essential
The team is currently under pressure, with 5 lawyers and 4 legal assistants, so additional support is needed as soon as possible.
They can wait around a month for the right person, but ASAP is preferred.
