Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Remote – Full Time or Part Time – Initial 3 months – £60 per hour umbrella
 
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join an established legal team and gain further public sector experience.
 
Role Details:
Working Arrangement: Full-time, or part-time, remote working viable, although monthly office attendance preferred
Rate: £60 per hour umbrella
Start: As soon as possible
 
Role Responsibilities:

• Undertaking a busy and varied caseload covering commercial and procurement matters.
• Providing complex legal and procurement advice and support to internal and external clients, within the auspices of a traded legal services offering.
• Advising on, drafting and reviewing a range of local government commercial contracts.
• Providing advice on the legal implications of committee reports and internal governance papers.

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Commercial and Procurement Law
• Experience within Local Government or the wider public sector is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a varied caseload of Commercial matters
