Position: Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full time or Part Time hours
Working Arrangement: Remote working
Hourly Rate: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Adult Social Care matters in Local Authority.

Duties may include:

• Managing a caseload of complex cases in proceedings, both s21a and s16 welfare matters, with complex issues such as safeguarding, coercion and duress, financial abuse, deprivation of assets and complex MHA/MCA matters encompassing deprivation of liberty issues
• Dealing with tenancy and deputyship applications and provided general advice
• Handling matters in proceedings to include safeguarding matters with coercion and duress, financial abuse, deprivation of liberty and other advice matters
