Locum Senior Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – Full Time – Remote Working – Up to £75 per hour umbrella (Outside IR35 Considered) – Midlands
 
Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join a well-established Local Government legal team on an interim basis. The role offers flexible working arrangements, and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lawyer to play a key role and manage a small legal team, whilst providing expert legal advice across a varied caseload.
 
Role Details:
Position: Locum Senior Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Full Time, predominantly remote working with occasional office attendance preferred
Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the strong likelihood of extension
Rate: Up to £75 per hour (umbrella) – Outside IR35 may be considered
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Senior member of the Commercial Contracts and Procurement team
• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
• Manage a varied caseload, to include Public Health Contracts
• Supervise members of the Commercial team, including two junior Lawyers

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Commercial Contracts and Procurement Law
• Previous Local Government experience is essential
• Previous management experience is desirable
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and supervise junior team members
