The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Prosecution matters in Local Authority.
Duties may include:
- Manage a diverse litigation caseload including Environmental Protection, Housing Act 2004, Anti-Social Behaviour, Animal Welfare, and Community Protection Notice appeals
- Provide clear and timely legal advice to officers on investigations, statutory powers, PACE interviews, evidence gathering and lines of enquiry
- Draft summonses, legal applications, and prosecution documents in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors
- Prepare and manage a caseload of prosecutions in the Magistrates’ Court from investigation through to listing
- Liaise with Counsel, drafting structured briefs to ensure focused and effective advice
