Locum Employment Lawyer – 3 months + – Full/Part Time – Remote Working – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Midlands

Position: Locum Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full or Part Time hours can be considered
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote, with occasional Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Employment matters in Local Authority.

Duties may include:

• Draft and advise on a range of legal documents including policies, procedures, and settlement agreements
• Manage a diverse and high-volume caseload of employment litigation across discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, and breach of contract claims
• Represent the department in Employment Tribunals, advised on litigation strategy, and achieved successful outcomes through effective negotiation and advocacy
• Advise departments on sensitive employee relations issues, provided tactical and legally sound guidance.
• Collaborate with HR, senior management, and external counsel to mitigate legal risk and maintain best practice across all areas of employment law
