Locum Housing ASB Lawyer to join their legal team on an interim basis.
Role Details- Full-time preferred, although 4 days per week may be considered for the right candidate
- £55 per hour Umbrella
- Initial 3-6 month contract with strong potential for extension
- Court attendance required 1-2 times per week
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing a varied Housing Litigation caseload on behalf of the Local Authority
- Advising on and conducting Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) matters
- Handling Housing Management work
- Dealing with Unlawful Occupier matters
- Preparing and conducting Injunction proceedings
- Managing Possession claims from instruction through to completion
- Representing the Council in court and liaising with internal stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with recent Housing Litigation experience
- Proven experience handling ASB matters independently
- Experience with Housing Management, Possession Proceedings, Injunctions and Unlawful Occupier matters
- Local Government experience is desirable but not essential
