Job Description:

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a well-regarded Local Authority on a fully remote basis.

This is an initial 3-6 month assignment with a strong likelihood of extension, offering a competitive hourly rate.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of public law children matters, including care proceedings and pre-proceedings work. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a full caseload of public law childcare matters
  • Providing legal advice on all aspects of public law children's work
  • Attending PLO and legal planning meetings
  • Drafting legal documentation, including statements, threshold documents, and other court-related paperwork

This opportunity is 100% remote for the duration of the assignment, providing excellent flexibility with no requirement to attend the office.

We are keen to speak with experienced Childcare Solicitors who have previous Local Authority childcare experience and are able to hit the ground running, managing their own caseload with minimal supervision.

Please contact Natalie Delaney in our Manchester office for more information.

Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. Please note, our advertisements use years' experience, hourly rates, and salary levels purely as a guide and we assess applications based on the experience and skills evidenced on the CV.
