Locum Commercial Property Solicitor – Midlands Council – 25 Hours per Week – Fully Remote Working – £55-60 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Property Solicitor to join a well-regarded Local Authority in the Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer to support a busy in-house legal team on a flexible, part-time basis.
Role Details:
• Position: Locum Commercial Property Solicitor
• Working Arrangement: 25 hours per week, fully remote
• Duration: Initial 6 weeks, likely to extend to 3 months +
• Rate: £55 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Handling a varied caseload of general and complex commercial property matters
• Drafting and negotiating development agreements
• Managing disposals and acquisitions of land and property
• Providing clear and pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders
• Supporting on wider property and regeneration projects as required
• Working collaboratively with officers across the Local Authority

Candidate Requirements:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent)
• Strong experience in commercial property law
• Previous Local Authority experience is highly desirable
• Confident managing a varied caseload independently
• Strong drafting, advisory and communication skills
