Paralegal

Full-Time

Hybrid Working

Our client, a Local Authority based in Essex, is seeking a Paralegal to join their supportive and friendly legal services team, to cover a period of maternity leave.

This opportunity is offered on a full-time, hybrid working basis, with office attendance required 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Paralegal role:

  • Manage a caseload of routine and some non-routine matters under supervision, supporting solicitors and lawyers across the team covering areas of law including contracts, property and litigation.
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely legal advice to internal council clients
  • Draft legal documentation, correspondence, pleadings, reports and instructions
  • Undertake legal research and analysis
  • Prepare and manage court bundles and supporting documentation

Experience required for the Paralegal role:

  • Experience working within a legal environment, ideally within Local Government
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Strong IT skills, including experience of using a case management system
