Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer - North West Authority - 9 month contract!
 

A North West Local Authority is seeking an experienced Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join their legal services team on an initial 9-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a housing litigation specialist looking for a varied caseload within a supportive local authority environment, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Role

The successful candidate will handle a predominantly disrepair-focused caseload, alongside; possession proceedings, injunctions, and small amount of homelessness work (only if you have previous experience).

The authority is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and manage matters independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer
• Previous local authority housing litigation experience
• Strong advocacy and case management skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload autonomously

• Full-time position
• Hybrid working — attendance required 1–2 days per week
• Initial 9-month contract with potential for extension
• Competitive rate of £55–60ph depending on experience
