Locum Planning Lawyer – South of England – Full Time – Remote Working – £60 per hour Umbrella - July Start Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority in the South of England on an interim basis, offering an excellent opportunity to support a busy and collaborative legal team.
Role Details:Position: Locum Planning Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Full Time, predominantly remote working with committee attendance preferred once per month
Duration: Initial 3 month contract with the possibility for extension
Rate: £60 per hour Umbrella
Key Responsibilities:- Advising on a broad range of non-contentious planning matters
- Drafting, negotiating and completing Section 106, Section 278 and Section 38 agreements
- Providing legal advice and support to officers and stakeholders on planning law matters
- Attending planning committees where required/preferred
- Supporting the wider legal team with general planning law matters as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Planning Law
- Previous experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is highly desirable
- Strong experience handling non-contentious planning matters and planning agreements
- Ability to work independently within a remote working environment
