Locum Homelessness Lawyer
Greater London Local Authority | Hybrid Working | £55+ per hour | 3-Month Rolling Contract
A Local Authority in Greater London is seeking an experienced Homelessness Lawyer to join their legal team on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive team on a 3-month rolling contract with a competitive hourly rate and flexible hybrid working arrangements.
The Role:
You will manage a caseload of homelessness matters and provide legal advice to officers across the authority on a range of housing-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on homelessness and housing litigation matters
- Managing judicial reviews and housing-related claims
- Providing legal support to housing teams and senior officers
- Conducting advocacy where required
- Supporting the council on urgent and complex matters
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
- Strong local authority homelessness law experience
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Previous experience handling judicial reviews is desirable
- Available to start ASAP
