Venn Group are working with a well-established local authority in West Yorkshire to recruit a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer.
 
This role will involve advising enforcement teams on appropriate enforcement options, reviewing evidence, recommending amendments or additional case requirements, assessing cases prior to issue in accordance with the Prosecutors’ Code, and drafting and issuing summons.
 
Attendance is required for weekly team meetings, as well as all hearings and trials in the Magistrates’ Court. This role also requires litigation rights and a current practising certificate.
 
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months initially, with scope to extend
Working Arrangement: Full-time, attendance for weekly meeting and court
Rate: £50-55 per hour, umbrella
