Locum Commercial Property Lawyer – West Midlands –Full Time or Part-Time - Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour umbrella Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Government legal team on an interim basis, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and established Local Authority.
Role Details:Position: Locum Commercial Property Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Full Time, Remote working
Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion
- Draft and negotiate a range of commercial leases, including renewals, variations and surrenders
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters across a diverse commercial portfolio
- Handle acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold interests
- Support on any development and regeneration projects for the Council`
- Draft and advise on various licences
- Support on some residential matters as required
- Provide strategic advice to internal departments and stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience of Commercial Property Law
- Experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is highly desirable
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and teams
