Litigation Lawyer - Local Authority (West Midlands)
£55-£60 per hour (DOE) | 14 hours per week | Remote Working
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well regarded Local Authority in the West Midlands for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their legal team on a locum basis.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity offering fully remote working and a varied caseload, including:
- Complex commercial litigation
- Property-related disputes
- Criminal prosecution matters
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services, advising internal stakeholders, and supporting the authority across a range of contentious issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse litigation caseload with minimal supervision
- Providing clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal clients
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate or instructing external counsel
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procedures
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with strong litigation experience
- Proven ability to handle complex disputes, ideally within a local authority or public sector setting
- Experience in commercial litigation, property disputes, and/or criminal law
