Prosecutions Lawyer Salary: £45-£55 per hour – Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract
Midlands Local AuthorityHybrid Working Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of non-school attendance prosecutions from initial review through to conclusion.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to client departments and enforcement teams.
- Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court where required.
- Assist with a wider range of local authority prosecutions including environmental, regulatory, and enforcement matters.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer in England & Wales.
- Proven background in local authority prosecutions or criminal/regulatory litigation.
- Essential: Experience handling non-school attendance (education) prosecutions.
- Experience preparing cases and attending court (advocacy desirable).
