Junior Litigation Solicitor - (Immediate Start Preferred)
Contract: Approx. 3 months +
Location: Hertfordshire
We are partnering with a respected Local Authority in Hertfordshire who are seeking a Locum Litigation Solicitor to provide legal support across a broad range of council functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, adaptable legal professional seeking meaningful public sector work with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and support across all Council departments, with a strong focus on litigation (civil and criminal/regulatory) as well as conduct of own advocacy in the Magistrates' Court on behalf of the Authority.
Due to the nature of the caseload, we are ideally seeking someone based in or willing to travel to Hertfordshire.
If you are a newly qualified or junior lawyer, this is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience with a well-regarded local authority!
Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer, with litigation experience (public sector or local government background desirable).
  • Confident advocate with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Available immediately or at short notice.
