Lawyer Advocate - Litigation

Outside IR35, rate negotiable

37 hours per week

As a member of the County Council’s Legal Team to provide high quality legal services in the areas of Criminal and Civil Litigation.

We expect that, as a Lawyer Advocate within Legal Services, you will:

• Carry a caseload of cases as directed by the Principal Lawyer and Legal Services Business Partner and Senior Lawyers
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, communication and feedback
• Support the Principal/Senior Lawyers in the management of the service
• Achieve the best outcome for the client in a timely and flexible manner.
• Be able to undertake advocacy in relation to contested court hearings
• Work collaboratively with professionals and client departments in order to build excellent working relationships which are supportive to the client departments
