Locum Information Governance Solicitor –  University – Full Time – Initial 6 months – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Information Governance Solicitor to join a University in the South on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide specialist support on key data protection and information governance matters within a higher education setting.
Role Details:

• Working Arrangement: Full-time, primarily remote with ad-hoc office attendance for key meetings
• Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Initial 6 months with potential extension

Role Responsibilities:

• Providing specialist advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
• Managing and advising on Subject Access Requests (SARs)
• Drafting and reviewing Data Processing Agreements and Data Sharing Agreements
• Ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and best practice
• Supporting the organisation on wider information governance matters as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
• Demonstrable experience in Information Governance and Data Protection
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice frameworks
• Ability to work independently and provide clear, pragmatic advice to stakeholders
