Locum Property Lawyer – Full Time – Remote Working – Initial 3+ Months– Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Property Lawyer to support a Local Authority on an interim basis, offering an excellent opportunity to support a friendly and established local government legal team.   
 
Role Details:
Role: Locum Property Lawyer  
Working Arrangement: Full Time, remote working
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Start: ASAP Start
 
Role Responsibilities:

• Advise and draft all documents relating to acquisitions and disposals of land and property (including residential, commercial, or bare land)
• Advise on all associated non-contentious work arising out of the Council’s property portfolios
• Draft and approve leases, licences, deeds, notices, and deal with registration of land
• Liaise with internal departments and external Solicitors on complex property transactions, town centre redevelopment, and other regeneration projects
• Provide comprehensive advice for formal Council meetings, and to Councillors/Officers as required

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with proven experience in Property Law
• Experience working within Local Government or the public sector is highly desirable
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills
• Ability to manage workload independently and provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice
