Senior Employment Lawyer

Rate: £50-£60 per hour – Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 6-9-month initial contract
Northwest Local Authority
Flexible Hybrid Working

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters (contentious and advisory).
  • Conduct Employment Tribunal litigation, including advocacy where appropriate.
  • Advise on:
    • Disciplinary, grievance and capability processes
    • Redundancy and restructuring programmes
    • TUPE and organisational change
    • Equality, discrimination and whistleblowing issues

About You
  • Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Have strong experience in employment law, ideally within a local authority setting.
  • Demonstrate experience handling complex and high-value tribunal matters.
