Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Remote – Full Time– Initial 3 to 6 months – £60 to £70 per hour umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within an established Local Authority.

Role Details
Working Arrangement: Full-time, Remote working
Rate: £60 to £70 per hour umbrella
Start: As soon as possible

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertaking a busy caseload handling a mixed caseload of commercial, procurement and subsidy control matters.
• Providing complex legal and procurement advice and support to internal and external clients, within the auspices of a traded legal services offering
• Advising on, drafting and reviewing a range of local government contracts
• Providing the legal implications on committee reports and internal governance papers

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Commercial and Procurement Law
• Experience within Local Government or the public sector is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of Commercial matters
