Senior Planning Lawyer
Rate: £55-£60 per hour – Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

Working on behalf of a London Borough Council, we are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Lawyer to join a well-regarded Planning & Property legal team.
This is a key position within the team, supporting high-profile regeneration and development projects across the borough.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Advise on major planning applications and large-scale redevelopment schemes.
• Provide legal support on compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) and land appropriation.
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 agreements and complex highway agreements.
• Attend and advise at planning committees and licensing hearings.

 
About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX (England & Wales), with strong experience in planning and regeneration law within a local authority setting.
• Demonstrate expertise in drafting and negotiating complex planning agreements.
• Have experience advising on major development and infrastructure projects.
