Locum Debt Recovery Lawyer – Part-time – Predominantly Remote Working – 6 Months + - £55 Umbrella – South West
Our Local Authority client is seeking to appoint an experienced Locum Debt Recovery Lawyer to join its team. This is a part-time position (2 days per week) for an initial duration of 6 months, subject to extension thereafter. Infrequent court attendance will be required, with remote working available the remainder of the time.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with strong working knowledge and experience of handling debt recovery and general civil litigation matters on behalf of a local authority.
Duties may include:
- Providing Debt Recovery advice as required and managing a full and varied case load of these types of Debt including high value Debts
- Completing Debt Recovery negotiations in a wide range of highly complex statutory Debt Recovery cases
- Issuing court proceedings to recover Debts, drafting court documents and undertaking enforcement proceedings against judgment debtors
An hourly umbrella rate of up to £55 dependent on experience is offered for this role.
