£40,777 - £45,091 per annum
Applications are invited for a Lawyer covering the areas of Adult Social Services in the People Team.
It is desirable Applicants should have experience in the areas of Safeguarding vulnerable adults, Court of Protection and Deprivation of Liberty cases. The post holder will hold their own caseload. The successful candidates will be part of a team and supported by a team of paralegals. Applicants must be a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
Purpose of the post:- Provision of high-quality legal advice and support to the authority.

- Support hub working by working across work areas in the wider legal team.
Essential criteria:
- Candidates must be a practicing Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
- Technical competence in the work related skills involved in the post.
- Significant experience in the specific work area
Desirable criteria:
- Public Sector background or experience of advising the public sector
- Experience of the political process and the relationship between members officers and the public
